WHO ARE MARKERS
Markers are individuals who are utilized during the playing of Singles games.
Markers are situated at the opposite end of the green to the bowlers.
They assist the bowlers with various aspects of the game – BUT they do not give advice!
They will assist with centering the mat, they will center the jack, they will mark any touchers,
they will remove dead bowls from the rink, they will answer questions such as “Who’s shot?”, they will put up the score, etc.
Markers Clinics are held to teach first-time Markers what their role will be, to refresh the knowledge of individuals who are already Markers, and to renew for those Markers whose certification might be expiring.
COACHES CLINIC
The Coaching Clinics are organized and run by Bowls BC.

An Umpires Clinic will be held at Juan de Fuca Lawn Bowls Club on May 16th, starting at 10:00 a.m.
